Your projects stay on your Mac

In short

• There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.
• Projects, reports and calculations are stored and run on your Mac. We never receive them.
• To find a site, fetch its weather and show aerial imagery, the app asks a few public services directly. They receive a search text or a site’s coordinates, never your projects.
• We, the developer, receive no personal data from the app.

Who we are

SolarSolution Studio (“the app”) and this website are made by Oleksandr Demydov, who is responsible for this policy. Write to support@solar-solution.app with any question about privacy.

What stays on your Mac

Projects, designs, variants, PDF reports, weather files and photos you import, and the app’s settings are stored locally, inside the app’s own storage or in files you choose. The app does not upload them anywhere. They remain yours, and removing the app or the files removes them.

What the app sends to outside services

The app has no server of its own. It sends a request to the services below only when you use the feature that needs it, and only what that feature needs. As with any request over the internet, each service also sees your IP address. Each service handles its requests under its own privacy policy.

Photon

NASA POWER

The app’s help also links to weather-data websites. Those open in your browser, and those websites’ own policies apply.

Crash reports and App Store statistics

If you have chosen in macOS settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may pass on crash reports and usage statistics for the app. These come from Apple without your name or contact details. We use them only to fix problems and to see how many people use the app. You can turn this off in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

When you write to us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, such as a description of a problem or a project file you choose to attach. We use it only to answer you and to fix the problem, we do not add you to any list, and we delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed or when you ask.

This website

solar-solution.app uses no cookies, analytics, advertising or third-party scripts, and its fonts are served from the same server. The server keeps no access logs. It is hosted by DigitalOcean in the Netherlands, and its domain name is served by Cloudflare.

Children

The app is a planning tool for adults. It collects no personal data from anyone, children included.

Your rights

Because we hold no data from the app, there is nothing of yours for us to show, correct or delete, beyond any email you have sent us. You can ask about it, or ask us to delete it, atsupport@solar-solution.app. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If what the app sends, or to whom, ever changes, this page will be updated before the version with the change is released, and the date at the top will change.
