How can we help?
Write to us
Email support@solar-solution.app. A person reads every message and answers, usually within a few days.
To help us find a problem quickly, include:
- the app version, from SolarSolution Studio → About SolarSolution Studio;
- your Mac model and macOS version, from Apple menu → About This Mac;
- what you did, what you expected and what happened instead;
- a screenshot, if it shows the problem.
If a problem only happens in one project, you can attach the project file. Only send it if you are comfortable sharing it: it holds the site’s location.
System requirements
- A Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later).
- macOS 14 Sonoma or newer.
- An internet connection to find a site and download its weather and imagery. Calculations themselves run on your Mac.
Common questions
Results say “No data”.
The app has no weather year for the site yet — usually because the Mac was offline or the weather service was busy. Check the connection and try again. If PVGIS and NASA POWER both have no data for the site, the app offers to import a typical year downloaded from PVGIS, NSRDB or OneBuilding (EPW, SAM CSV, PVGIS CSV or JSON), or to fill in its template.
There is no aerial photo under my house.
Automatic imagery covers the contiguous United States. Anywhere else, import your own aerial or drone photo and trace the roof over it.
Where are my projects stored?
On your Mac, inside the app’s own storage. Nothing is uploaded, and there is no account to sync them through.
Is the estimate a quote?
No. It is a preliminary estimate for planning and comparing designs. Before you buy, get a site assessment and a proposal from a licensed local installer.
Can I suggest a feature?
Please do — write to support@solar-solution.app. Every suggestion is read, and the most requested ones shape the next version.
